What is Recycled Low Melt Fiber part 1

Recycled Low Melt Fiber (recycled LMF) is primarily a recycled sheath-core composite polyester staple fiber:

· Core layer: Recycled polyester (RPET, sourced from recycled PET bottles, waste filaments, and post-consumer fabrics), with a melting point of approx. 255℃, ensuring structural strength.

· Sheath layer: Modified low-melt polyester (LMPET), with a melting point of 110–130℃ (commonly 110℃/120℃), which melts first under heat to act as an adhesive.

Core mechanism: When heated, the sheath melts while the core remains solid. After cooling, it forms a self-bonded three-dimensional network without additional adhesives, replacing traditional glues.
