The company will inject hundreds of millions of yen to upgrade spinning, drawing and silicone finishing equipment at its Matsuyama plant in Japan, with the new production line to go online in March 2027.

Octair fake down fiber adopts an 8-fin hollow cross-section design, trapping static air inside the fiber to deliver insulation performance equivalent to natural goose down at the same weight. Compared with ordinary hollow PSF, it has softer hand feel, better dimensional stability and smoother filling blowing efficiency. The upgraded production line will support both virgin polyester and recycled rPET raw materials, producing around 1,000 tons of eco-friendly fake down fiber annually by 2030.
